National Golf Links Staff Quarters

This 14 room “SRO” has a common lounge, common bathrooms (M+W) and common kitchenette.  The Board of Directors established the requirement that the new building should fit organically into its surroundings. The site features rolling topography so the building is designed with a serpentine, undulating ridge and roof which nestle unobtrusively into the sloping terrain. It features the Air-Floor our firm has become known for as well as a unique laminated site-built, earth-bermed truss structure. The roof is filled with 18” of cellulose insulation and the high mass construction makes a safe, healthy and efficient building.  This project is capable of LEED certification, but it has not been sought.
